Party planning is designed for students who wish to gain an insight into the Events industry. The content has been written by event industry experts with 20+ years experience in their field. It covers everything from mood boards, invites, themes, styles and design, equipment hire, food types, beverages, event staff, risk assessments, fundraising, and much more.

It is a 13-week course, with some theory and practical tasks to complete and upload each week. Because the course discusses the purchasing and licencing rules regarding alcoholic beverages, it will need parental consent for anyone under the age of 18. This course supports Duke of Edinburgh award 3 month skills section. You can forward your DofE number and we will assess and complete your forms.

Week 4 - Planning the menu, different food styles to choose, and ordering the drinks
Week 5 - What equipment you will need for different occasions
Week 6 - understanding staffing, their different roles and how many you will need
Week 7. Other suppliers for your event
Week 8 - how to organise a fundraising event
Week 9 how to write a detailed schedule and time plan for your event
Week 10 - how to work out the costs and create an invoice
Week 11 risk assessments, food safety and terms and conditions
Week 12 - Setting up tables, bars, buffets. Different napkin folds.
