This cooking course is designed to encourage young people to learn to cook food from around the world, learning the National dishes for each country, plus the traditional flavours, herbs, and spices. They will be able to cook with confidence for themselves and others.
It is a 13-week course, with some theory and practical tasks to complete and upload each week, covering a wide range of skills, as well as hygiene, and safety in the kitchen Any student under the age of 16 will need parental consent due to the use of sharp knives, open flames, boiling liquids and other potential hazards. Please ensure they watch the safety videos, and always act responsibly and with caution. Be-Zing cannot be held responsible for any injuries that happen at home.
Upon purchase of the course, you will be emailed a full ingredients list. There are a choice of menus to make for each week, including vegetarian options. You can also purchase a starter pack of all the dried ingredients, ready measured for each week, so you just have to buy the fresh produce yourself.
Some basic kitchen equipment will be required, such as knives, chopping boards, pots, pans, etc. It is not essential to have a food processor, blender, or whisk, however, it could be useful.
