This cooking course teaches young people to cook a wide variety of plant-based foods.  It provides the student with an understanding of all the essential cooking skills for life, the wide variety of meat and dairy substitutes, and their health benefits, plus health, hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

It is a 13-week course, with some theory and practical tasks to complete and upload each week. Any student under the age of 16 will need parental consent due to the use of sharp knives, open flames, boiling liquids and other potential hazards. Please ensure they watch the safety videos, and always act responsibly and with caution.  Be-Zing cannot be held responsible for any injuries that happen at home.

Upon purchase of the course, you will be emailed a full ingredients list.  You can also purchase a starter pack of all the dried ingredients, ready measured for each week, so you just have to buy the fresh produce yourself.

Some basic kitchen equipment will be required, such as knives, chopping board, pots, pans etc.  It is not essential to have a food processor, blender or whisk, however it could be useful.

This course supports Duke of Edinburgh award 3 month skills section. You can forward your DofE number and we will assess and complete your forms.
